First Timer’s Guide

 

Welcome to CAT Studios and Studio Theatre, home of Central Alberta Theatre! We are located beside the Red Deer Memorial Centre in the heart of Red Deer’s historical downtown.

Whether you’re a seasoned arts enthusiast or a first-time visitor, we’re thrilled to have you join us. Here’s your comprehensive guide to navigating CAT Studios and Studio Theatre, and enjoying a performance to the fullest.

Getting There

CAT Studios is conveniently located to the left of the entrance to the Red Deer Memorial Centre at 4214 – 58 Street in downtown Red Deer.

Studio Theatre is an intimate theatre space that seats 45 located on the third floor of CAT Studios.  It’s right beside the elevator and the staircase, easily accessible from the ground floor by elevator or stairs.

CAT Studios is easily accessible from the large front parking lot.

 

Parking

Ample free parking is available in front of CAT Studios and the Memorial Centre including designated wheelchair-accessible parking spaces. There’s also a designated drop-off area for convenient access.

Arrival

Plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled performance time to allow for parking, getting to the third floor and Studio Theatre, and finding seats.

Seating

Ticket takers will be outside Studio Theatre on the third floor, right beside the elevator and the staircase. Feel free to ask them for assistance or any questions you may have.  All seats have an excellent view of the stage!

FACILITIES

CAT Studios is equipped with modern facilities, including clean restrooms just down the hall and a wheelchair-accessible washroom on the main floor. When you visit you’ll find an elevator and wheelchair accessibility for patrons.

CONCESSION & BAR

Snacks and beverages are available for purchase before the performance and during intermission. Support CAT by grabbing a treat or two!

ETIQUETTE

During the performance, remember to silence your cell phone and avoid talking or disruptive behavior that could distract fellow audience members or performers.

DRESS CODE

There is no formal dress code for performances. We recommend casual to dazzle dressing in a way that makes you most comfortable.

PERFUMES & SCENTS

Please be considerate of fellow patrons who may have sensitivities or allergies to scented products and use such products with discretion.
